The impact you will have in this role:
Being a member of the Government Relations team, the Government Relations Manager will represent the interests of DTCC before EU policymakers and regulators as well as elected officials and will assist in developing and advancing DTCC positions concerning EU public policy issues. The successful candidate will have and develop a strong network of external and internal relationships. External relationships include those with key legislative, executive and industry officials with a focus on European Parliament, European Commission and Council of Ministers of the EU. Internal relationships include DTCC's business lines and offices of Risk, Marketing and Communications, Technology, Legal and Compliance, among others.
The successful candidate will also work with DTCC’s internal departments and business and policy colleagues in the US, Asia and Europe on the impact of new policy initiatives and support DTCC Executives and experts in external activities with public officials and industry groups. the successful candidate will be expected to develop an expertise on specific policy areas and also represent DTCC externally on these issues.
This role requires an individual who is able to develop a good understanding of how political, regulatory and policy issues interact, their implications on the DTCC, and help identify opportunities and threats stemming from this.
